CO-CHAIRS:

The Special Interest Group on Lived Experience was launched in 2017 at the IASP World Congress.This SIG aims to integrate lived experience throughout IASP activities, share information and good practice relating to lived experience with national and international suicide prevention organisations, and promote and support the establishment of lived experience networks/communities globally. We look forward to working collaboratively with other IASP SIGs.

In 2018 the Lived Experience SIG was formed, and members were recruited. Currently 15 individuals from four continents, have signed on to carry out the work of the group. Our initial projects include a comprehensive review of the literature as pertains to lived experience, and an audit of lived experience grassroots efforts across the globe.

Outreach Brief

This Outreach Brief was created for World Suicide Prevention Day. Outreach Briefs are an opportunity to provide focused information on key considerations within suicide prevention research and interventions. This brief has been developed in collaboration with IASP Lived Experience Special Interest Group and other collaborative partners and aims to be informative, action-driven and to signpost to further resources for more information.
