Dr Tong Yongsheng, currently serving as the Director of the Department of Clinical Psychology at Beijing Huilongguan Hospital and a Professor at Peking University, holds the position of Deputy Director at the World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Center for Research and Training in Suicide Prevention in Beijing, China. His dedication to advancing suicide research has been recognized with funding from the National Natural Science Foundation of China and his collaborative efforts with the WHO involve the development of suicide-related training materials for a diverse range of professionals, implementation and evaluation of surveillance systems focused on suicide and self-harm, and supporting the WHO in promoting national suicide prevention strategies.
