Nikolaj Høier, MD, MscR Psychiatry is a medical doctor and a member of DRISP –The Danish Research Institute for Suicide Prevention. His work is primarily focused on neurological and circadian disorders such as sleep disorders and sleep medication and their association with suicide risk. Furthermore, his work is focused on the available pharmacological treatment options that exist for acute suicidality and how clinical interventions can be enhanced with new treatment options. His main area of interest is the neurobiological aspects of suicide.
