Lindsay Savard is a social worker and PhD candidate at McGill University in Montréal, Québec, Canada. My doctoral research explores the lived experiences and treatment needs of parents whose adolescents have received care for suicide-related behaviors within Canadian pediatric hospitals. I also serve as the Practice and Policy Analysis Coordinator for the Canadian Consortium on Child and Youth Trauma, where I lead national consultations on trauma-informed policies and practices in organizations serving children and youth. My areas of interest include supporting caregivers affected by suicidal behavior, systemic prevention of suicide in children and youth (e.g., federal policies) and the intersection of trauma-informed care and suicide.
