Further information:
The PechaKucha event is being held on Thursday 23rd September 2021 at 7:45pm at Miss Moneypenney’s Broadbeach.
PechaKucha is Japanese for “chit chat” it is a form of story telling that is similar to the 3-minute-thesis but allows participants to present their work over 6-minutes across 20 slides (20-seconds) per slide. It challenges researchers to present their work in a new and engaging way and is a wonderful opportunity to network with other ECRs and senior researchers in the field. Candidates who are selected for the PechaKucha event will be asked to submit their slides 2-weeks in advance of the World Congress.
The event has been organized to be a fun and entertaining evening and will be hosted by the Australian comedian Mark McConville. For this reason, we ask all participants to provide a short statement about themselves that will be used to help make the evening as engaging as possible.
