September 10 is World Suicide Prevention Day. Join us for the 3rd annual “Step Out of the Darkness” luminary event at Brooks Memorial Fountain in beautiful Downtown Marshall.
This year’s event promises to be bigger and better with the generous support and sponsorship from United Healthcare.
How YOU can help BE THE LIGHT:
Join us Tuesday, September 10
- 1:00-5:30 pm – Visit resource booths and create memorial signs at Brooks Memorial Fountain, and get your FREE t-shirt, candle, and 988 yard sign
- 5:30 pm – Walk through Downtown Marshall
- 6:30 pm – Light luminaries back at fountain
There will be informational tables from United Steps, SPCCC, Summit Pointe, SWMBH, Oaklawn, VA, United Healthcare, and law enforcement.
The walk will proceed along the city business sidewalks, finishing back at the fountain where we will light luminary bags. LED candles and T-shirts will be provided to those joining us!
Memorial yard signs will be provided for anyone to write their loved one’s name on. This is a beautiful way of showing remembrance to their life.
Kickin Kurbz food truck will be there to feed us all when those hunger pains “kick” in! Veterans and First Responders will receive a FREE meal voucher in honor of their service to us all.
