The Yellow March

On September 15, we will take another step towards a yellower world because we are going to pollinate Madrid with prevention! This year, La Niña Amarilla is calling for a demonstration for World Suicide Prevention Day (September 10). And we are very well accompanied because we have the support of all the associations and professionals attached to the Let’s Make a Plan initiative, and the support of other organizations dedicated to the prevention, postvention and intervention of suicidal behavior.
Together, we represent different social agents, such as professionals from the media, health, education, culture, state security forces, social services and the third sector .
Together, under the slogan “Suicide prevention: a national commitment”, we demand the National Suicide Prevention Plan. We know that prevention is possible and we need solid and coordinated public policies that address this problem in a comprehensive manner. For this reason, we encourage unity and collaboration between all of us who know the importance of prevention: there are many of us, and we are spread throughout Spain.
The Yellow March is a call to action: your presence is essential to build a more empathetic, more supportive and better prepared society to prevent suicide.
